It’s
not surprising that John and Connie Parker went to work the
moment they arrived at Man O’
War
Church
.
Both have been active in church since they were saved
in the early eighties. John, who became an Ordained Bishop
in 2005, has been a Bible teacher, an Armor Bearer, a Senior
Pastor and Associate Pastor in previous assignments. He now
teaches an Adult Sunday School class and serves Man O’ War
as Minister of Pastoral Care.
“Actually, this was one of the most obvious
appointments I’ve ever made,” says Pastor Tolle. “When
visiting the hospital or Nursing home, I would often find
John and Connie there, comforting and praying with those in
need.”
John was miraculously delivered from an addiction to drugs
and alcohol. The visible transformation that God
brought to his life has enabled him to effectively minister
to many who find themselves in bondage to the same kinds of
addictions. John has preached in prisons, jails, on streets
and in various outreach missions to those who are often forgotten by
the modern church. Together, John and Connie have traveled
abroad to preach, teach, and build churches.
