Hershel
Morgan, wife Vicki, and daughter Beth came to Man 0' War in
July of 2007. He was prayerfully chosen by Pastor Mitchell
to fill a vital ministry role as Minister of Music. “His
leadership, dedication, character and background in music
ministry trade him perfectly suited to the task”, Mitchell
said. “I have known him for over forty years and I know
that Hershel has the heart of a worshipper that is evident
the moment he arrives into the sanctuary. Here at Man 0War
we believe our highest calling is to worship God.”
From private lessons at the hands of professional
musicians to formal study as a music major at
Morehead
State
University
, Hershel Morgan has long been a student of music
-especially church music.
The son of William H. Morgan, a great preacher,
pastor, and church builder, Hershel has been active in
praise and worship music almost before he could talk. He
played the guitar and sang in church as a child and grew to
love the music worship experience. He was introduced to the
piano by his mother, Mary, who gave him her love of music
and her passion for praise. He plays several instruments but
is most recognized as a creative studio pianist, vocalist,
arranger and Choir Director. During one period of his life
he traveled extensively, ministering in a variety of gospel
music venues including concert halls, churches, television
and multiple recording projects.
Our Music Ministry continues to grow and develop under
his capable leadership and the number of individuals active
in this ministry is impressive in scope and impact to our
church and community. When you pray, please pray for Vicki,
